Northport has been home to John for most of his life. It is here that he married Mary Murphy, and together they reared four sons. John was a member of the Carpenters Union for 36 years, 22 of which were spent working at Rockefeller Center in NYC. He retired in 2010 and in that same year was hired as custodian for our Weekday Nursery School, later joining the church staff as well. As our Facilities Manager John provides numerous services with his many skills and know-how. In his free time John enjoys running (in the fall of 2015 he finished first among all Northport runners in the 60-and-over age bracket for the Cow Harbor Run, an annual event with over 5000 runners participating).
