Reverend Rachel Vione


Rachel began her ministry at FPC in August of 2013 as the Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries. She was ordained at FPC on March 1, 2015 (in a snowstorm)! and became our Assistant Pastor for Children, Youth and Families. In August of 2016, Rachel became our Interim Pastor. In November 0f 2020, the congregation voted to call Rev. Rachel Vione as our next Installed Pastor and Head of Staff.   After a successful career in the business world in New York City, Rachel attended Princeton Theological Seminary where she graduated with a Master of Divinity and received awards for excellence in both preaching and homiletics. Rachel is originally from the Midwest, is a huge sports fan and loves to cheer on her favorite Chicago sports teams.

Barbara Kaifler


Barbara is currently serving in her 12th year as Church Administrator/Office Manager. After a rewarding 23 year-long career as an Executive Secretary with Northrop Grumman Corporation, she has found her service to the Lord at FPC Northport to be both fulfilling and enjoyable. She is married to the Rev. Bruce Kaifler, has two sons, Christopher and Matthew Pitfick, and is the proud grandmother of six.

Dr. Brenda Clark


Dr. Brenda Clark grew up at Westminster Bethany Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY where her father was the choir’s bass soloist. Her career highlights are piano performance on WNYC’s Young American Artists as a teen (the entire 30 minute show), 26 years as an organist for Long Island churches, organist for the Northport Chorale’s annual Messiah Sing-In, past secretary of the New York City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and active member of the Su olk AGO Chapter. Dr. Clark’s training includes the pre-college division at Manhattan School of Music and a double major in psychology and music (organ performance) from Barnard College, Columbia University. Among her organ teachers is Dr. Walter Hilse. She is the wife of Richard Mooers and mother of Daniel and Bernadette.

Dana Warren


Ariana Warren


Mezzo-soprano and music educator Ariana, is the  interim director of the Carol/Westminster Choirs. Ariana is the daughter of Dana Warren and Marie Michalopoulos and a graduate of Ithaca College and Arizona State University with degrees in music education, opera, and music theatre performance.  We are very fortunate to have her join us  through May 2020 when she leaves for an engagement with Glimmerglass Opera Festival.


Kevin McKerr


After growing up and completing a degree in Computer Science in New Zealand, Kevin spent two years in London before coming to New York. He spent over 25 years in the Investment Banking divisions of Lehman Brothers and Barclays, supporting them originally in IT and later in Compensation and Human Resource analysis and reporting. With his wife Joan they have lived on Main Street in Northport for 20 years, and they can often be seen explaining to their Westie that not every walk requires a visit to the pet store. In his spare time Kevin enjoys photography and spoiling good walks playing golf. He’s also a baseball fan, having visited 27 Major League ballparks, leaving just 3 to go.

John Kennedy

Facilities Manager

Northport has been home to John for most of his life. It is here that he married Mary Murphy, and together they reared four sons. John was a member of the Carpenters Union for 36 years, 22 of which were spent working at Rockefeller Center in NYC. He retired in 2010 and in that same year was hired as custodian for our Weekday Nursery School, later joining the church staff as well. As our Facilities Manager John provides numerous services with his many skills and know-how. In his free time John enjoys running (in the fall of 2015 he finished first among all Northport runners in the 60-and-over age bracket for the Cow Harbor Run, an annual event with over 5000 runners participating). He also enjoys coaching youth basketball and watching movies.
